About UPES School of Law
UPES was established in the year 2003 through the UPES Act, 2003, of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. The University has been accredited with a grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Government of India in the year 2021 and strives to achieve more heights in the coming years.

About the Competition
The Surana & Surana and UPES School of Law’s National Insolvency Law Moot Court Competition aims to facilitate understanding of evolving jurisprudence in Insolvency Law’s emerging trends. It also focuses on enhancing research, writing, and advocacy skills. By participating in this competition, individuals have the opportunity to enhance their legal acumen and contribute to the growth of this specialized field.
Eligibility
The competition is open for students who are pursuing LLB (three-year / five-year) courses during the current academic year.
Registration Details
Provisional Registration
- Provisional Registration commences on July 8, 2023.
- The last date for Provisional Registration is July 20, 2023.
- It is mandatory for every university to register provisionally via its moot court’s ID at Form. Teams will then receive a confirmation mail of the successful provisional registration from the Host University.
Final Registration
- Online Registration for teams commences on July 8, 2023.
- The teams must register online by August 8, 2023, at the link given at the end of this post.
- After registering online, the teams must complete the Registration Process as stated below by sending a copy of the documents for authentication, at mootcourt@ddn.upes.ac.in.
- The following documents are required by the teams at the time of Final Registration:
- An external participation form/approval letter (with seal and signature) as provided in the rules duly filled from the participant’s institution/moot society.
- Scanned copy of the receipt of online payment.
- Participants will receive approval as acceptance of their request for participation within 2 days from the last date of registration.

- A registration fee of Rs. 3500/- (Three thousand and five hundred rupees only) is to be paid online by the team through Net Banking:
