About the National Digital Health Mission:-

National Digital Health Mission or Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is an agency owned by the government of the country, under Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi. This was made keeping in mind the digitalization of the whole system of the health infrastructure of the country. It is like Ayushman Bharat but a more digitalized version of it.  This system is appropriate in this technological era which needs be more digitalized and keeping in mind the convenience of the common public of the country. This National Digital Health mission is launched on 15^th August 2020. This Mission helped in creating a whole ecosystem of health. The ministry which comes under this mission of National Digital Health Mission is Ministry of Family and Health Welfare, which is responsible for it’s launch and implementation. The Key person under this is Dr, Harsh Vardhan, Ashwini Kumar Chaubey, Preeti Sudan

Aims and Objectives of National Digital Health Mission:-

Here below are written some of the aims and objectives of the National Digital Health Mission. Some of These aims and objectives are:-

1. To make digital healthcare data and necessary infrastructure for the proper implementation of this step and maintaining it.
2. To build a transparency when it comes to this healthcare sector by registering all the important healthcare related information in it, which includes, clinical establishment, healthcare workers, professionals, drugs and pharmacies.
3. To create a personal healthcare record based on international standards, easily accessible to individuals and also the healthcare professionals and based on informed consent.
4. To ensure that healthcare professional of both public and private sectors participate in this Nation digital Health Mission.
5. A kind of portability in this National Digital Health Mission which will result in knowing about health benefits various hospitals are providing.
6. Promoting use of health analytics and medical research, which will help in also accessing that which hospital management is more effective for them.
7. To provide people with enhanced and quality governance of healthcare facility at all the levels of the healthcare services.

Progress of the National Digital Health Mission:-

The program of National Digital Health mission which was started on 15^th August 2020, also in the six Union Territories- Andaman and Nicobar Island, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Ladakh, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry. The establishment of this system is to make infrastructure related to health more accurate and convenient for the common people living in the country.

The three registries have been made under this National Digital Health Mission, these are Health ID, Health Professional Registry and Health Facility Registry and digital infrastructure is promoted also in these above union territories.

The states and the total number of health Ids created are as follows:-

Andaman and Nicobar Island have total number of health IDs of 416843, Andhra Pradesh have total number of health IDs of 16454665, Arunanchal Pradesh have of 170302, Assam have of 878814, Bihar have 14797713, Chandigarh have 515806, Chhattisgarh have 1955208, Delhi have created of 6090157, Goa have created of 329842, Kerala have 12790762, Maharashtra of 13866532, Tamil Nadu created a total number of 2783542, Uttar Pradesh have created health IDs of total number 12310597, West Bengal have created a total number of health Ids of 10823469.

All in consideration of all states and union territories it can be concluded that till the date of 28^th March, 2022, the total number of Health Ids and ABHA numbers created in country which is around 20,97,55,222.

Participation have been encouraged among people to take part in this with the help of SMS campaign which is mainly under the National Health Authority. Even webinar with the doctors in this profession of healthcare have also been arranged and organized for public awareness.

1. This resulted in the availability of services on a very large and wider scale.
2. The service and facility of Telemedicine which is good in providing in efficient and optimum utility of all the manpower existing in the health sector.
3. This system helped in prioritizing the quality of healthcare services which are given to the common people by the healthcare establishment and medical professionals and workers too.
4. This helped in also creating an awareness among the citizens of the country regarding the health facilities available and promoting online infrastructure and date regarding the health domain of the country.
5. More flexibility, transparency of data and health records, more connect ability between the doctors and the normal citizen of the country. This digital model of health infrastructure will give the common people to make health more mobile among themselves.

Features of The National Digital Health Mission:- \

Under this National Digital Health Mission it have found some excellent features like, some of these are below written:-

1. All citizen who are applying for this service can get a unique health Id.
2. The app and website will have a separate health ids if they are a doctor.
3. The health ids of the people enrolling have all the information of the history of the problems which they suffered.
4. There will be an exchange of data health related information only with the consent of the person enrolled too.
5. The doctors will participate in giving their services digitally and can give their service digitally in any part of the nation.
6. These doctors can give a prescription online even when the both patient and doctor are living far away from each other with a digital signature for authenticity.

Way Forward:-

There needs to be some more changes in all the healthcare department of the country.

1. More people should be promoted to use this as a doctor and a patient. Awareness about this mission is very important.
2. The all doctors enrolled in these app and website needs to be checked and verified about their degrees and performance.
