- ADVOCATE:- Every law aspirant dreams to wear the black suit. And the charm and authority it holds is so much in our society. The candidate who want to become an advocate, first need to qualify the exam by All India Bar Council.
After getting enrolled there, they are eligible to practice advocacy in any part of the country. Though to become an advocate what is recommendable and preferable is to first work with a senior advocate then work independently. This will help you in getting experience of how this field works practically.
- Government Services:- After completing bachelors the students have an opportunity to enter into the government services like Indian Legal Services and many other posts. These candidates can also prepare for jobs like UPSC, or for judicial services examinations. Also they can become public prosecutors appointed by government in cases.

- Judiciary:- The students who aspire to become a judge, can work to prepare for judicial services examinations, after doing their bachelors in law. This is not an easy paper to get selected but not impossible. The eligibility criteria is they should not cross the limit of 35 and have done LLB from a recognized university. - Academia:- There are students who might be pursuing law and have a deep passion to explain and teach simultaneously. This career is good for them. The students who aspire to become a professor in a law college of a legal subject can go forward with this field. It can be done if they choose to do LLM after LLB and earn a PhD degree. This way these students can become a reputable lecturer at good government or private universities.
- Private companies:- The students who have completed their LLB and want to work in corporate can think to join a private company. Either they can work in a law firm or they can do MBA after completing their bachelors of law.
- Legal Journalism:- Law student most probably have a good skill in writing which sometimes can be their passion too. In case you pursued Law and have an enthu about journalism you can become a legal journalist too. The job role of these journalist is to update people about the pillar of democracy- Judiciary. They inform citizens about cases happening in courts, judgements and much more. This also helps to students to know about the recent news and forming opinions and staying updated about the reforms in constitutions and important verdicts on cases. This is important field and a growing interest of people towards law, social media adds fuel to this.
- Legal Researcher:- This field is about a person who research, as the name suggest, for the cases and helps their clients to win. These Legal Researchers often get hired by lawyers because of their outstanding skills of researching and analyzing in reference to the case. They give a deep insight to the lawyers which help the lawyers in fighting and winning the case while proving their point.
- Further studies:- After the completing of LLB, aspirants can continue their studies to gain more knowledge and skills or when they want to enter into legal academia. This will help them in diving deep into their field and do a masters in Law which is LLM.
- Cyber Lawyer:- The IT have risen it’s scope , so as it’s threats. There are so many cyber-crimes today. Today, a lot many organizations around the world hire cyber lawyers. These professionals handles the crimes done by people in cyber or internet space. The examples of these cybercrimes are data leak, phishing, Identity theft, child pornography and spreading terrorism.
- Legal writer: – Media and publishing houses gives many opportunities to people who have done LLB and are good in writing. These people work in magazines and print media and news media too. A person who is a legal writer have a good writing skills and better understanding or law article and acts. In this way, they can make it easy to understand for common people to know about the recent changes, verdicts. This is an important pillar of Indian Democracy.
- Human Rights Lawyers:- These are the lawyers who defend and advocate for human rights. They work for governmental, intergovernmental and nonprofit organizations too.
- Law Enforcement Officer:- students who have done studies in Law, and have LLB degree can also be hired by legal departments in India. There are different legislative office divisions throughout the country in Hindi and many regional languages. They can also join defense like army, navy and airforce as their profession.
- Legal outsourcing:- In this profession, a law firm takes services from a different firm. When the outsourced entity is from a different country, this is called as off-sharing. In this area the potential is not fully used, so there are many opportunities which the aspirants can try.
