About the Ranka Public Charitable Trust
The Trust was set up by Late Dr N.M. Ranka, Senior Advocate in the year 1980. The Trust has pioneered the concept of Moot Court Competitions in the State of Rajasthan and we take pleasure in announcing the 9th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition 2023. About the Competition
The purpose of the 9th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition – 2023 is to create an environment that closely mirrors the dynamics of real court proceedings.
The previous editions of the Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition witnessed tremendous success driven by zeal and competitive spirit amongst the participants all over the nation and around the world, which was appreciated by the judges and the participants alike.
Manipal University Jaipur is now all set to achieve a new benchmark in its 9th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition in 2023.
Eligibility
- The Competition is open to all students, enrolled bona-fide on a regular basis in an Undergraduate law course.
- A recognized institution shall be entitled to send only one team to the competition.
- Any additional member or team coach accompanying a team will not be entitled to a certificate.
- Students from different Universities/institutes are not allowed to form an Inter-College, Team.
Team Composition
Each team shall comprise of three (3) members ONLY i.e. Two (2) speakers and one (1) researcher. The role of the participants shall remain the same throughout the competition.
Registration Details
The Registration process shall be as follows:
- Teams are required to register for the competition from June 20, 2023, to July 10, 2023, by 23:59 IST.
- Interested participants can register through the link provided at the end of this post.
- The Registration form completed with all team details must be submitted online only.
- Once the registration is done Teams will get the confirmation email. Team Codes will be intimated later.
- Participation of the teams in the 9th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition is subject to the acceptance/selection of the memorial and payment of the registration fee. For this purpose, the team will be deemed to have been “formally registered” only upon the payment of the registration fee.
- Only upon communication of acceptance/selection of the memorial from the Competition Organisation Committee shall the participants pay a registration fee of INR 7500 (for Indian participants), which includes lodging and food.
- The participation fee for international participants is USD 100, which includes lodging and food.
- The Link of the Payment will be notified after the communication of the acceptance/rejection of memorials to the teams.

- Opening date of the registration of the competition: June 20, 2023
- Closing date of the registration of the competition: July 10, 2023
- Last date of seeking clarification: July 1, 2023
- Release of clarification: July 7, 2023
- Last date of Memorial Submission in Soft Copy: August 19, 2023
- Date of communication of acceptance or rejection of memorial: August 25, 2023
- Registration Fee Payment Window: August 26, 2023, to August: 30, 2023
- Last date of Memorial Submission in Hard Copy. (6 hard copies from each side): September 15, 2023

- Winner: Trophy, Certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of INR 15,000/-
- Runners Up: Trophy, Certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of INR 10,000/-
- Best Speaker: Trophy, Certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of INR 5000/-
- Best Memorial: Trophy, Certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of INR 5000/-
- Best Researcher: Trophy, Certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of INR 5000/-
