The Amikus Qriae Presents: 4th National Virtual Moot Court Competition 2025

The Amikus Qriae (TAQ) is proud to announce its 4th National Virtual Moot Court Competition, 2025, scheduled to be held from 12th – 15th September 2025.

This flagship annual event is designed to nurture advocacy skills among budding law students while engaging them in contemporary legal debates.

About the Organisers

The Amikus Qriae (TAQ) is a leading legal platform established by eminent professionals and academicians. Registered under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932, and the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, TAQ is also ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Today, TAQ proudly stands as the 8th largest legal website in India, with a community of over 20,000 law students from 80+ reputed law schools, dedicated to research, education, and intellectual engagement.

About the Competition

The 4th edition of TAQ’s National Virtual Moot Court will feature multi-tier rounds—Preliminaries, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Grand Finale.

This year’s moot proposition focuses on highly relevant areas of law:

• Information Technology Law
• Data Privacy and Protection
• Constitutional Law

Participants will argue cutting-edge legal issues surrounding deepfakes, data leaks, and freedom of expression—a case that resonates strongly with today’s digital era.

Eligibility & Team Composition

• Open to all students enrolled in 5-year Integrated Law, 3-year LL.B., or LL.M. programs from recognized Indian institutions.
• Teams of 2 (both speakers) or 3 (2 speakers + 1 researcher).
• Cross-institutional teams are permitted.
• A maximum of 4 teams per institution.

• 25 August 2025 – Last Date to Seek Clarifications
• 30 August 2025 – Release of Clarifications
• 8 September 2025 – Last Date of Registration & Team Code Allocation
• 9 September 2025 – Last Date of Memorial Submission
• 12 September 2025 – Inaugural Ceremony & Researcher’s Test
• 13 September 2025 – Preliminary Rounds
• 14 September 2025 – Quarter Finals & Semi-Finals
• 15 September 2025 – Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony
