Legal Lock is pleased to share an incredible opportunity for law students to showcase their legal acumen. The Moot Court Society of B.M.S. College of Law, Bengaluru, is organizing the B.M. Sreenivasaiah Memorial 10th Moot Court Competition from April 4th to 6th, 2025, at the college campus.
About the Competition
The moot problem for this year focuses on the intricate intersection of Constitutional Law and Criminal Law, offering participants an opportunity to test their legal research, reasoning, and advocacy skills. The competition will bring together some of the brightest legal minds from across the country, making it an enriching and challenging experience.

The event is organized by Moot Court Society, B.M.S. College of Law, and is supported by:

Competition Format
- The competition will follow a traditional mooting format, with rounds including Memorial Submission, Preliminary Rounds, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals.
- Teams will be judged on their oral advocacy, legal reasoning, research capabilities, and courtroom etiquette.
- The moot problem, rules, and judging criteria will be shared with registered participants.
Awards & Prizes
The competition offers prestigious awards and cash prizes to encourage and reward outstanding performances:
- Winners: ₹50,000 + Trophy + Certificate + 1-Year SCC Online Web Edition Subscription (worth ₹72,000)
- Runners-Up: ₹40,000 + Trophy + Certificate
- Best Orator (Male & Female): ₹10,000 each
- Best Written Submissions (Petitioner & Respondent): ₹10,000 each
- Best Researcher: ₹10,000
- Participation Benefit: All participants will receive one-month access to SCC Online Web Edition (worth ₹1,099)

Eligibility & Registration
- The competition is open to law students enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year law program.
- Each team must comprise three members – two speakers and one researcher.
- Teams must register by filling out the registration form and submitting the required documents before the deadline.
