The School of Law, at GD Goenka University aims to explore and identify novel areas of law and policy through relentless engagement in developing legal theory and practice, academic potential, critical analytical ability, and advocacy skills to fully equip the students with learning that is intellectually stimulating, socially vital, and professionally enriching. The GD Goenka School of Law offers 3- Year LL.B. (Hons.) programme and 5-Year Integrated B.A./BBA/B. Com LL.B. (Hons.) programme. These programmes are intended to impart intensive knowledge and training in the Management/Social Science subjects as well as Law subjects and help students to acquire wider perspectives both for managerial responsibilities and professional application. The LLM One Year Program provides candidates with the opportunity to equip themselves for active and effective participation, as professionals, in legal counselling, advocacy, and decision-making. Whether the context is a courtroom or legislative hearing, an attorney’s office or corporate board room, a state agency, a community center, or an international conference table, our graduates are prepared. Techniques of instruction include lectures, problem-based learning, seminars, informal small group discussions, moot court competitions, individually supervised field and library research projects, and a variety of experiential methods. “Clinical” components, in the form of case law, and real or simulated lawyers’ tasks, are an essential part of the program.

Assignment and Certification:
The participants will be assessed on the research assignment allotted during the session. The selected assignments will be featured in a dedicated book on International Law published with an ISBN by a reputed publisher. The decision of the assessment committee shall be final.
The certificate will be issued only to those who complete 70% of the attendance & have successfully submitted the research assignment..

Resource Persons
Prof. (Dr) David Ambrose, an esteemed academic and former Head of Legal Studies at the University of Madras, brings over 22 years of expertise in Postgraduate teaching. Specializing in areas such as International Law, Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Human Rights Law, Cyber Law, and Intellectual Property Rights, he holds a Doctorate in Law and has authored 70 articles and two books. Prof. Ambrose’s impactful policy-level research extends to advisory roles for both Central and State Governments, and he has served on prestigious committees like the Indian Maritime University. With practical experience as an arbitrator and judge in moot court competitions, he combines academic prowess with legal practice. As President of the Faculty of Law at the University of Madras, Prof. Ambrose ensures dynamic learning environments through stimulating discussions and interactive exercises.
Dr. Amit Singh, an accomplished legal academician with a Ph.D. in Public International Law from Jawaharlal Nehru University, currently serves as an Associate Professor of Law at GD Goenka University. With over fifteen years of experience, he has held various academic and administrative roles, including Head of Department at Apeejay Stya University. Dr. Singh actively contributes to national and international legal forums and organizations such as the Indian Society of International Law. His expertise spans Labour Laws, Public Administration, and administrative positions including Faculty Convener.
