About the Competition
The Annual National Article Writing Competition by Lexscribe Solutions endeavours to stimulate interest and foster growth amongst students across various fields of study to explore and engage with contemporary legal and policy issues.
The objective of this National Article Writing Competition is to encourage research in the recent developments of law and public policy, and accordingly, contemporary and cutting-edge areas have been selected for the Competition. In our past editions, we have connected to 500+ law students across 60+ law schools including NLUs, Symbiosis, Amity and many more reputed institutions all across India.
Eligibility
Open to students pursuing UG/PG degrees in law
Themes
Articles will be accepted on any topic provided that it is of recent relevance and a significant development in the legal fraternity. The following are the broad themes suggested-
1. Criminal and Procedural Laws
2. Constitutional Laws
3. IPR and Technology Laws
4. Business and labour laws
5. Environmental, Space and Aviation laws
6. Any other topic of legal interest
Submission guidelines
- All submissions should be made in the designated electronic form shared via email after the registration has been confirmed.
- The Article must be written in English and submitted in both Microsoft Word document format (.doc/.docx) and PDF format.
- Co-authorship up to a maximum of two authors is permitted. Only one submission is allowed per author/team.
- Submissions, both as co-author and single, will be treated as multiple submissions and will be disqualified as an entry to the competition.
- The Article must contain an abstract, not exceeding 200 words (which would not be counted in the word limit for the Article). It must indicate the theme.
- The word limit is 1500-2500 words excluding footnotes. Footnotes must follow the Bluebook system of citation (Harvard, 20th edition).
The article must adhere to the following formatting guidelines:-
- Headings: Font – Times New Roman and Font Size – 14
- Main Body: Font – Times New Roman, Font Size – 12, and Line Spacing – 1.5.
- Footnotes: Font – Times New Roman, Font Size – 10, and Line Spacing – 1.0.
- Margins should be 1 inch or 2.54 cm on all sides.
